    On January 9, 2018,
    the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued a court order mandating that USCIS resume accepting request to renew requests for deferred action under the DACA program.

    Due to this order, USCIS has begun accepting DACA renewal applications for persons who previously received DACA and whose DACA expired on or after September 5, 2016.
